Social Media Changes Business Forever
I attended a very education webinar today, put on by Xeequa. I found it to be very helpful. Axel Shultze, CEO, convincingly explained and showed how consumers have become increasingly resistant to traditional forms of advertising . For us as Internet Marketers we have to learn from this as well, that we can’t any longer ‘hope’ that we attract customers with something they are rejecting in the marketplace.
(Thanks again Axel for your outstanding efforts in the area! When I grow up I want to be just like you.)
Today, all of us are getting educated through the Internet, actually the “Social Web” (whether people call it that or not), by reading blogs and IM from our mobile devices, checking our social networks, join forums, participate in groups and virtual communities and listen to the opinions and read the reviews of people we trust. An astonishingly increasing number of product or brand decisions are pretty much made before a sales process even starts, almost entirely before someone would enter a physical store or company. We all have done our research well before that time using our Social contacts via the web and what SM tools we have grown to rely on.
Google Ads now for Mobile Devices
Google is now formatting AdWords text and image ads for Android and iPhone mobile browsers. The ads can include mobile-only calls to action, and can be created from standard Google ads run on the Web. More at the Google Mobile blog

19 Handy Twitter Mashups
If you use Twitter as much as Ty and I (and we think you do), you’ll love some of these. First time hearing the term ”mashups”? Twitter mashups put a unique spin on the way we use Twitter. By “mashing” information from Twitter with other applications, you get an unmatchable user experience that can be both fun and useful.
Follow this link from our friends over at Digital Labs to 19 very handy Twitter mashups.
Good Times At SMX – Tim Rockin Out Memory
I couldn’t help but resurrect this video this past February when he and I were at a search conference, this was a special event put on by Google called the “Google Groove”, Tim Kareoke’in !!!!
Tim Works For Google……NOT!
After two days of non-stop note taking, and hearing mile high ego’s talking about how successful their SEM firm was, it was nice to just chill a little on the eve of the “Google Groove” at SMX. In fact, we had so much fun, that even Tim’s ego ballooned into some serious wishful thinking, a position at the Google booth!! Honestly, this was more like a candy stripers position, these Googlers were like kids! I guess that’s why Tim fit just rightttttt in!
I Can’t Wait For SMX – California Here We Come!

Well, it’s just a few days away, and I can hardly wait. My brother (Tim) and I will be attending Search Marketing Expo West in Santa Clara California. Today I spent time reviewing the sessions I want to attend, so many good ones though!! I want to spend much of my time in sessions related to online videos, local search, and pay per click tips and tricks.
I will try my best to keep up on the blogging, I have several friends that want to hear all the current trends. A good friend and colleague Corey Creed at Hippo Internet Marketing wants me to key in on the latest talk of Web 3.0, and the secret search engine!
Are there any topics you would like for me to take special note of? Please let me know!
